Account and Data Deletion

This page explains how to request deletion of your Forecasting Stocks account and the personal data we hold about you, in line with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law No. 13.709/2018) and Google Play account-deletion requirements. FORECASTING STOCKS PORTAIS E PROVEDORES DE CONTEUDO LTDA (CNPJ 49.971.642/0001-27) is the data controller.

1. Delete your account from inside the app

The fastest way to remove your account is from the mobile app itself:

  • Open the Forecasting Stocks app and sign in.
  • Tap the menu icon (☰) in the top-left corner of the home screen.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the menu and tap "Delete Account".
  • Confirm by re-entering your password (email/password accounts) or re-authenticating with Google/Apple (social accounts).
  • Your account is permanently deleted as soon as the confirmation succeeds.

2. Delete your account by contacting us

If you can no longer sign in or prefer to handle the request manually, send an email to support@forecastingstocks.com from the address linked to your account, with the subject "Account deletion request".

We will verify your identity, complete the deletion, and confirm by email within 15 days of receiving a verifiable request, as required by the LGPD.

3. What data is deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove or anonymize:

  • your profile data (name, email, phone number, country, language preference);
  • your authentication credentials and any linked Google/Apple identifiers;
  • your favourite tickers, search history, and in-app preferences;
  • your payment-method tokens stored in our systems (the underlying cards/wallets stay with Stripe/PayPal under their own retention rules);
  • any push-notification tokens registered to your device.

4. What data we keep, and for how long

Brazilian fiscal and consumer-protection law requires us to retain some records even after account deletion. Specifically:

  • subscription and payment transaction records (invoice number, amount, date, payment method, last 4 digits of the card or PayPal subscription ID) — retained for 5 (five) years for tax and accounting compliance, as required by article 173 of the Brazilian National Tax Code (CTN) and article 27 of the Consumer Defence Code (CDC);
  • application security and access logs (IP address, timestamp, event type) — retained for 6 (six) months as required by the Brazilian Internet Civil Framework (Marco Civil da Internet, Law No. 12.965/2014, article 15);
  • records needed to defend our rights in judicial, administrative or arbitration proceedings, until the relevant statute of limitations expires.

5. Cancelling an active paid subscription

Deleting the account also cancels any active Stripe or PayPal subscription automatically. You will not be charged again, but no refund is issued for the current billing period. If you had a refund-eligible reason, request it before deleting the account so we can process it.
