Anthropic IPO Filing Reignites AI Trade as Investors Weigh Earnings and Fed

Published on October 27, 2026

Anthropic’s SEC filing for a planned Nasdaq listing under the ticker ANT briefly reignited enthusiasm for artificial-intelligence stocks and gave public-market investors new visibility into the fast-growing company’s finances. The filing reported $16.29 billion in first-half 2026 revenue, while markets quickly refocused on upcoming megacap earnings and the Federal Reserve’s policy decision.

Anthropic’s public filing for a potential Nasdaq listing emerged as the most consequential new catalyst for U.S. equities this week, briefly reviving enthusiasm for artificial-intelligence stocks while investors also weighed earnings and the Federal Reserve’s policy meeting.

Anthropic filing resets the AI narrative

Anthropic, the developer of the Claude AI platform, filed a Form S-1 with the Securities and Exchange Commission for a planned Nasdaq listing under the ticker ANT, according to Yahoo Finance. The filing disclosed $16.29 billion in revenue for the first six months of 2026, up from $1.16 billion in the same period a year earlier, while also highlighting substantial risks and losses tied to the company’s expansion.

The prospectus gave investors a fresh public-market reference point for the economics of generative AI. Anthropic’s filing follows SpaceX’s blockbuster listing earlier in 2026 and could become another major technology IPO, CNBC reported.

Chip stocks and megacaps respond

The announcement initially lifted major AI-linked shares. Nvidia rose 2% and Tesla gained more than 5% in Monday’s session, while chip stocks including Broadcom and Micron also advanced, according to CNBC and Yahoo Finance.

The broader market followed: the Dow rose 0.3%, the S&P 500 gained 0.7%, and the Nasdaq Composite advanced 0.8% on Monday, CNBC reported. By Tuesday, however, the initial enthusiasm had moderated as traders shifted attention to a busy earnings calendar and the Federal Reserve’s rate decision, Bloomberg reported.

Anthropic’s disclosure also sharpened scrutiny of AI infrastructure spending. Alphabet, Microsoft and Amazon were due to report results later in the week, with investors looking for evidence that heavy AI investment is translating into growth, according to Reuters.

What to watch

  • Anthropic’s proposed listing process, including additional disclosures and the eventual terms of any offering.
  • Earnings from Alphabet, Microsoft and Amazon for signs of returns on AI infrastructure spending.
  • The Federal Reserve’s policy decision and guidance on the possibility of another rate increase before year-end.
